X-Men The Official Game

was developed by Z-Axis, a 1st-Party developer for Activision. The game bridged the story gap between the first two X-men films.  This was my foot in the door for the games industry, as an audio intern.  I was responsible for integrating sounds created by the lead sound designer and audio director.  This project used an XML driven system they called "director scripts".  Everything was done with text editors, and command line executables to build sound banks.  Collaborating with level designers I used 3DS Max to draw audio volumes for ambient sounds.  Unfortunately this internship didn't pan out into a full time job because the studio was laying off staff as the project wound down. However, this was a great intro to the industry and game audio.  I was able to leverage the experience to get my next gig.
