Lord of the Rings: War in the North

was developed by Snowblind Studios and published by Warner Brothers.  When Surreal was bought into the WB family of Seattle studios I was shifted over to work on LOTR.  They used a modified version of XACT audio middleware.  I was tasked with working on ambiences as well as concepting for some ideas like a specialized battle ambience that would come in while fighting growing groups of Mordor's minions.  I was also asked to experiment with an audio tool called KYMA.  I generated a bunch of abstract source sounds using the KYMA software that would later get used for designing spell sounds.
